Does anyone here still eat Fig Newtons?

I think they are great, but it seems they have gone out of style.

Reply:Yes, I buy some about every two weeks especially for my husband. I eat a few myself. They are kind of like peanut butter cookies. They may not be the most visible, but they are always available and good.
Reply:Still? Never ate them in the past. But I can say that Yes I have tried them. I did like them but they are not my favorite.
Reply:i still eat them all the time
Reply:I love figs. We had fig trees in our yard when I was a kid living in Tx. Fig Newtons are good - but I really love just plain figs.
Reply:Still great.
Reply:Absolutely. I love them. But they have to be the real Fig Newtons. The copy cats are not anywhere near as good.

I do notice that they are generally more expensive than other cookies and rarely go on sale so I tend to buy them less than I used to. But I haven't noticed them "going out of style". I do wish they would quit making those yucky flavored versions though...cheesecake, raspberry...ick!
Reply:no
Reply:Yes, my husband eats them all of the time. They are lower in fat and calories than most cookies, so make a fairly healthy snack :)
