I know that they grow to about 60 feet, but I can't find any information on how quickly they grow. I have a 15cm Ficus Macrophylla in my garden today - will it be 20 feet tall when I wake up tomorrow?? I mean, what is the rate of growth of these things??- it's driving me nuts - I have consulted my half a million dollar collection of gardening books and not one will tell me!!! Help!!
How fast does a Moreton Bay Fig Tree grow?
Sorry can't be more specific but in the gardening australia fact sheets it says that moreton bay figs stay pretty compact for the first 25 or so years of their lives then over time gain their massive buttress roots, so safe to say your not gonna wake up overrun by your tree.Hope it's planted on a large area! : -)
