In what season does a fig tree grow it's fruit?

The early crop ripens in May; the main crop ripens in late June and continues to ripen into August. The fruit has a short, plump stem and moderately closed eye which reduces fruit souring on the tree. The fruit is nearly seedless and has a mild sweet flavor. Early crop fruit is very large, sometimes 2 inches in diameter.

Mine is ready to eat now, to bad I hate figs.yuukk!!! A frost may have come thru and killed all the blooms.
Reply:Right now. We have a fig that is giving off fruit like mad. I think the squirrels keep eating the ripe stuff, because most of them are still a week away from being ripe. But there are hundreds, if not thousands, of figs on our tree. You have to have another fig tree within a mile for it to bear fruit though.
Reply:Figs are a summer fruit. I'm in central TX and expect to be eating figs in a couple or 3 weeks. BTW, there does NOT need to be another fig tree w/in a mile or any distance for a fig to bear fruit. The fig here in this country is sterile. There is no polination needed.
