6 fig. grid references?
I dont know what your asking..but here is some info...

Always read a map to the RIGHT and UP

A 6 digit grid will look like this- 325 796

the smaller number will always come first

A 6 digit grid will place you within 100 meters of your location and is the most common grid used..

A 4 digit grid will put you 1,000 meters within your location

A 8 digit grid will put you within 10 meters of your location

A grid will ALWAYS have 2 letters prior to the numbers..This is the map designator...it is used to coordinate everyone on the same map...So you would say your six digit grid like this

DE 325 960

The TOP of ANY map is always NORTH when holding it correctly
Reply:Are you asking how to plot or the correct way to read a grid on a map.

Or are you asking how to take an azimuth and plot it on a map?
Reply:I will explain to you in simple terms and go to this site.

Read Right and up Vertical line

That will give you the first three digits in the grid

IE 142

Then read the horizontel and up

847
