Fig trees and grape how to make them grow .?

i have fige tree and every winter cold and ice kills it but every summer it grow back , i need it to serviv the winter so i can have fruit. i see some around my area that have fruit in summer, so my grape tree it dose the same and there must be a way to make them serviv out side in winter .

That would be normal.maybe you need to fertilize early spring?The age of the tree decides the fruiting time,maybe yours are still young,or didn't get pollinated,hard to say really just some things to consider.
