Fresh Fig recipes?

OK, team, I'm looking for recipes using fresh figs (as opposed to dried). SPECIFICALLY, I'm looking for hors d'oeuvre recipes to serve before Thanksgiving Dinner.

There are plenty of recipes for jams, ice creams, etc. but I want some manner of "finger food" that I can make pretty easily.

Anyone?

Fresh Fig recipes?
O.K., here you go: Cut your figs in half length wise, put a dollop of blue cheese crumbles and some diced walnuts, then chill for about an hour, then serve. If it's easier, you can mix the walnuts with the blue cheese before you put them on the figs....Enjoy,and Happy Thanksgiving...........
Reply:Fresh Fig 1/2 Kg

Cinnamon powder 2 pinches

brown sugar 1/2 cup

Fresh Cream 2 cups

Honey 3 Tbsp

Wash and Cut the fig in to two perpendicular to the stem . or preferably make pieces as we make for potato wedge. keep aside.

mix half cream with sugar and keep aside.

in a bowl (glass) put the fig layer then little Cinnamon powder and then cream with sugar. honey and then cream plain. repeat until the ingredients are finished in the same manner.

Refrigerate and serve in a glass with red wine on top and basil leaf.
Reply:I tried this with my fresh figs, it calls for lavender, but you could probably skip that part or use something else if you want:

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Prick the figs all over with a fork. Place in a shallow baking dish just large enough to hold them packed snugly. Drizzle or brush them with the honey, and sprinkle with lavender blossoms. Pour water into the bottom of the baking dish, and place in the oven. Bake for 25 to 35 minutes, depending upon the size and ripeness of the figs. Set aside to cool for about 10 minutes, then serve warm with their juices and a tablespoon of heavy cream spooned over the figs.

Very yummy!
