Why do Mormons memorialize the fall by using fig leaf aprons in the secret temple ceremonies?

God rejected the fig leaf aprons which Adam and Eve made (Gen. 3:21)...?
As far as secret.....I do disagree....if you really want to know with good intent you can learn of all of God's Mysteries as you are ready for them....meaning his Mysteries are sacred(Holy) and he does not cast pearls to swine. (not that I am calling anyone a swine)



It is funny to me how many Christians do not appreciate the old testament. The people of Israel were distinguished among nations as the builders of sanctuaries(Temples) to the name of the living God. They did not just sit in it for shade..no..they had temple ceremonies that centered around Jesus Christ Atonement.



As far as the Fig Leaf is concerned here is my take on it.....



When we all decided to Leave our Heavenly realm we knew we were putting on inperfecton...correption..and death...but we also knew as great as the stakes may be(meaning we may not make it back home to our Heavenly Father..by our OWN choice ) there is a way back to our Heavenly Father through His son Jesus Christ.

Reply:Because mormons are very confused. They believe more in their fairy tales than in the bible God gave to man and then they claim to believe in everything God says. It's amazing how much religions twist the bible to fit their own beliefs.

Reply:They're not going to walk around naked. Aren't you a Mormon? Why don't you talk to the people in your temple about this? I'm sure every other Christian church does this when doing plays about because really God wanted us to be naked. It was the apple that made Adam and Eve embarassed of their bodies. Nudity, is our natural state yet we hide it.
Reply:For the sake of clarity. Genesis 3:7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed FIG LEAVES together, AND made themselves APRONS. Now when you look at Genesis 3:21 we see that God "makes coats of skins to cloth them" I don't see that as a divine rejection, just a better idea. After all He is God. But I can see how the deceived mormon cult would attempt to create yet another false doctrine out of it. Thanks for listening.
