What kind of cheese should I serve with Fig,Roasted Grape and balsalmic Chutney?

I made this chutney as a gift and want to put together a holiday gift basket as a gift, I am going to include some type of cheese to go along with it. Keep in mind that the people that are receiving this are probably not very familiar with or have acquired a taste for a wide range of cheeses. Thanks in advance for your help, I'm at a loss other than goat cheese.

It might go well as a topping for a wheel of Brie or Camembert. Or on crackers with feta or a nice blue
Reply:Goat is a good idea. Also sheep's milk cheese will hit the spot.
Reply:Do not use goat cheese! (it just tastes like goats smell...and someone doesn't have an acquired taste for cheese...it might make them a little nervous) I would use either a Brie or Havarti...both are mild and on the creamy side and a nice compliment to fruits.

PS...do you have the recipe...sounds like something my brother would like...
Reply:Should be mild and semi-soft like a Danish or Italian Fontina or a domestic like havarti, monterey jack or colby.
Reply:Stick with a nice cheddar, not too sharp. Most people will be familiar with cheddar, and it goes well with fruity foods.
Reply:goat or brie.
Reply:I would love to have that recipe! If you have a minute, please email it to me.

I would vote for a wheel of brie.
