After being underwater for 40 days, would a fig tree be recognizable?

Would it still have leaves? Or even still be alive?

After being underwater for 40 days, would a fig tree be recognizable?
Shhh, it was a magic fig tree. God put it there. Shut up!
Reply:Noah was delirious from all the methane gas built up in an ark filled with poopin animals for 40 days.

It wasn't a real fig tree, but a metaphoric fig tree, they last for close to 60 days underwater.

Jesus later paid the tree back by cursing it for not producing figs out of season. Poor little tree, survived 40 days underwater, 4000 years only to be withered by Jesus.
Reply:actually, that's how testicles are made. figs are really "pre-testicles". then God plucks them off the submerged tree and sticks them on little babies.
Reply:that depends. Are we talking fresh or salt water. Is the soil still threre or washed away? What is the Ph level of the water, etc.
Reply:If your making fun of Noahs ark, good luck, ive been trying to dash that story forever. And anyways, where is the food supply for all the carnivores on noahs ark since were on the topic? they have to eat sometime too.
Reply:I don't know, but 40 days underwater would certainly mess up MY Newtons!
Reply:It would look like a dead fig tree.

In fact, it would be dead in a matter of days.
Reply:What are you getting at...is it Noahs arc?

First of all, The reason why the Dove was even able to find the OLIVE BRANCH was because the water was drying up.

AND it RAINED for 40 days and nights
Reply:If God has the power to submerge the world with water for 40 days, do you not think he also could have the power to keep a fig tree alive?
Reply:if you are referring to the story of Noah your time frame is off, you see it rained for 40 days and nights, but they were on the ark for well over a year. so as the water receded that tree might have been on a mountain that was out of the water for some time. but even that does not matter because with God anything is possible so who are you to cast doubt on what He can do? Get your facts correct before you start trying to confuse people
