Can I use fig leaves as a garnish on food platters?

I'm doing my daughter's wedding reception and I'm looking for a cheap garnish to use on the food platters. My grandmother has a huge fig tree in her back yard. I would LOVE to use the leaves. They aren't toxic are they? Links to sites regarding this would be helpful. I've looked and can't seem to find anything. Thanks!!

I couldn't find much, but here are a couple of links to recipes using them. If you can use them as a cooking vessel, you can definitely use them as a garnish. Note that one does say that they are not edible.
Reply:Yes fig leaves are edible and they also will look great on a plate.
Reply:good day,

Garnishing, hit your local flower people, think rose petals, ivys,

fig leafs and ferns.. not toxic but not the eating kind... any flower people will have lots of fillers.. baby breath and ferns look great.. they will have great ideas and it super cheap.... Happy hunting
