Eat Skin of a fig?
You can eat it. It is fine. Too hard to peel!
Reply:There is no rule here. If you like it, eat it.
Reply:Of a fresh fig you mean? Yes of course you eat it! As with most fruit %26amp; veg there's more food value in the skin than the rest of it.
Reply:Eat it. Figs are gorgeous ...... the fig, the whole fig and nothing but the fig ! Enjoy.
Reply:you can eat the skin of a fig whether it is a fresh fig or dried but if the top /small stalk of the dried fig is a a bit hard you can chop that off and dispose of it,either way the skin is healthy to eat
Reply:I eat them either way. It is a preference some don't like the peel and others do. So eat it the way you like.
Reply:The skin on brown turkey and mission figs is fine. There's a giant green fig, and I can't remember the variety, that is better peeled. Peeling these is a snap when the fruit is ripe--the green outer layer peels right off, leaving a whitish inner layer with the scrummy red goody inside.
