Fig tree...which comes first, the leaves or the fruit?
Fig trees bear fruit twice with leaves in between. There's fruit in the Spring, then leaves, and then the main fruit in the Fall. See http://www.crfg.org/pubs/ff/fi... Report It
Reply:The leaves are always first. They provide energy for the rest of the processes.
Reply:the fig newton
Reply:I am not familiar w/fig trees but have grown apples, cherries and other fruit trees. What I know is that the tree first has blooms and leaves then the blooms turn into the fruit, I could be way off base but that is my experience.

Good luck w/the figs what will you make w/them?
Reply:Leaves then fruit. Then fig preserves!
