What did the fig tree that Jesus cursed represent?

Why is the cleansing of the temple sandwiched between the cursing of the fig tree?

What did the fig tree that Jesus cursed represent?
A nation producing no fruits and was rejected (Israel)
Reply:the deserved fate of most.......... Report It
Reply:It was a parable inserted by the Romans to give credence to Paul's contention that the days of Jewish fulfillment were over.

The Tree represented Judaism and God's chosen people unable to bear fruit, so Jesus cursed it which was meant to make a statement about the Jews no longer being the chosen ones.

It likely never happened.
Reply:The nation of Israel , they rejected him even to this day. That will change after his return.
Reply:Astrological allegory.
Reply:Unfruitful trees whether plant or human are cursed. Christ said,"you will know them by their fruits." Some produce good fruit and some produce bad fruit. The temple priests were producing bad fruit.

Edit: A nation that only produces bad fruit is cursed and will not stand. If you want a great nation, produce good fruit - kind and loving Godly people.
Reply:The faithful who produces no fruit.

The hypocrite who just bla bla bla and does nothing.

The Jew who becomes a Christian and insists on being recognised as a Jew.

The one who claims to be without doing.

The one who wishes to die the death of a saint without living the life of one.
Reply:That's interesting.

Which word did he used in his cursing of the fig tree?
Reply:Probably to show that urinating on fig trees is not good for them. What kind of person curses a tree anyway?
Reply:he cursed it as it didnt produce those cakes called "fig-rolls"
Reply:Those who hear the word and do nothing. They bare know fruit. Peace

may
