Why did Jesus curse a fig tree?

Yeah no fig's, but it was out of season for the plant.

Maybe there is more meaning to this story then we are left to believe.

Could one theory be that, if a female bears no fruit she is useless and better off to wither and die?

I'm just trying to understand the significance of this story.

Why did Jesus curse a fig tree?
because god hates figs.

The fig tree is a parable about rejecting the Jews. Even though the "season" was not right for the return of the messiah, they were supposed to be ready anyway, but they weren't ready, so they were rejected. The same message is repeated in other parables.
Reply:Odin would never have done that!

Reply:Perhaps he had not taken his medication yet that day. Was this before or after he drove some demons into a herd of pigs?
Reply:No it has nothing to do with women but with Christians in general. Jesus cursed the fig tree because it wasn't bearing any fruit therefore it was useless. Just like a Christian that doesn't do anything for God your useless so why still be there. And a little food for thought you may be cursed if you are being idle.
