The cursed fig tree?

Jesus came upon the fig tree which didn't bear any fruit, %26amp; He cursed it %26amp; it wiltered. are we going to be cursed %26amp; wiltered when we doesn't fulfil the great commission of making disciples of all nation? didn't Jesus, go forth %26amp; bear fruit. sometimes when i have difficultes to bring the unsaved to my church congregation, i felt that maybe i isn't bearing fruit at all. does He just meant the grat commission of more of it? like the great commandment of loving one another etc etc

The cursed fig tree?
Why did he kill the tree instead of miraculously making it bear fruit? Surely it would be a greater miracle and message...
Reply:The cursed fig tree denotes people who live a totally fruitless ( or useless ) life.
Reply:No, maybe, I don't know.
Reply:The fig tree that Jesus went to look for fruit on for 3 years represented Israel. Jesus was only sent to preach to Israelites for three years.

Because he did not find any fruit (repentance of Israelites), the fig tree (Israel ) withered (in 70A.D.)

Jesus used the restoration of the fig tree as a sign of his second coming (Matthe 24:32). The fig tree was brought back to life in 1948. This is the year that 2nd coming Christ was baptized at the age of 30.

Jesus said to learn the lesson of the fig tree regarding his second coming. Those who reject the second coming Christ who has come will meet their judgment day just as Israel did 2000 years ago.

The past was written to teach us.
Reply:Amen
Reply:ya know, my pastor says, "share the gospel always...as much as you can...and if you have to use words". kind of cool

I believe we are all called to serve in that aspect. But our salvation doesn't depend on it...should we do it...yes
