Reply:It's called a blade or a rotary wing, not a fan. Anything rotating that fast can make weird illusions, like when car tires appear to be rotating the wrong way.
Reply:The fan rotates at 550 RPMs.

It is slow enough so that if the fan casts a shadow,any eye movement when watching it will act as a stereoscope and ti will appear stationary. Where you from,anyway?
