Taking a Cutting of a Ficus Fig Plant?

I have a Ficus fig plant indoor, I want to take a cutting of this plant to try and grow another. How do I do this and where to I cut above a leaf or below???

Taking a Cutting of a Ficus Fig Plant?
Select the length that you want ----- cut halfway through a node { that's where the leaves emerge } after removing the leaves ------ place a tiny pebble in the cut ------- dust with rooting compound and then surround the area with sphagnum moss soaking wet ----- enclose it all in a plastic bag and tie it up and in a few months roots will have formed. Cut the cutting off and pot up ---voila.
Reply:You should cut a mature stem.Cut the bottom of the stem a little side way.You should cut it about 20cm and pull out some of the leaves and all of the flower buds on the stem.Dip it in water then dip it in a root growth fertiliser. Finally, you can plant the plant in the pot.
Reply:As an experiment about 4 years ago, I sliced a branch of on an angle, below a leaf. Stripped the leaves off about 12" up, put it in potting soil and kept it in the bathroom. We kept the soil moist. When I checked it after a couple of months it did have roots. It is now nearly 6' tall.
